Picking up on the growing popularity of street dance, all the products come with dedicated functions for mixing tunes with Pioneer’s new, free Mixtrax download app.

First up is the Steez Audio, a rugged, rainproof speaker system in two different models: the STZ-D10T ‘Tough’ and the STZ-D10Z ‘Big’. Each has 4GB of memory for music, QVGA displays (2.4in or 3.5in) with USB and 3.5mm inputs as well as a built-in iPod dock.

The Mixtrax PC software analyses the beat, tempo and other info about each piece music and lets you match tracks by genre in Auto Battle Mode, and play similar tracks in a continuous mix in DJ Mix Mode. You can also tweak the tempo of tracks without changing the key and set up tracks for playback from preset positions.

The Steez Portable can also automatically blend tracks into a continuous mix, while letting you adjust the tempo and line up similarly paced tracks. It has 4GB of memory, a sharp OLED screen and can play MP3, AAC, WMV and WAV files.

Meanwhile, the Steez Headphones include 40mm speakers, a choice of coloured ear pads and can be folded up for easy carrying.

The Steez music players go on sale in October, with the headphones following in November. No word yet on prices.
