Pioneer has announced five new budget to midrange micro hi-fi systems, with prices ranging from £130 to £450.
All bar the X-HM10 CD receiver (£130) come with built-in DAB+ radio, composite video out, a USB connection and a direct digital connection for iPod/iPhone.
The X-HM20DAB (£200) has better quality speakers than the entry-level X-HM10, which features a 2 x 15-watt amp, as well as an iPhone/iPod dock and support for the iPad via USB. Next in line is the more powerful X-HM50DAB (£300)
Top of the heap is the X-HM70DAB (£450) which combines CD receiver with internet radio, subwoofer preout and DLNA home networking. It’s also available without speakers, but the same 2 x 50-watt amp for £350.
All the new Pioneer micro systems should go on sale in the UK in the autumn.
