Yamaha has revealed yet another sound bar in the shape of the YSP-2200.

Yamaha YSP-2200

Its spec sheet include HD audio decoding and 7.1-channel sound processing, three HDMI 1.4a inputs with 3D support, an HDMI output, support for 1080p and 3D content plus a separate subwoofer.

It uses Yamaha’s digital sound projector technology to create a pseudo surround effect by bounce multiple beams of sound off the walls of the room so they reach the listener at slightly different times.

The aluminium body stands 79mm high and has height-adjustable feet, as does the subwoofer, and it includes a built-in 132-watt digital amp.

Optional universal docks are available, including the YID-W10 wireless variety that uses Yamaha’s AirWired technology to beam audio straight from an iPod or iPhone.

The Yamaha YSP-2200 will be on sale from November for £799.
