Monitor Audio has knocked up to £150 off the cost of its i-deck iPod dock range.

The move sees the price of the i-deck 200 drop from £400 to £250 and the i-deck 100 drop from £300 to £200.

The company hopes the new prices will encourage greater uptake of the series, which uses hi-fi quality components to get the most out of your iPod or iPhone.

The i-deck 200 includes a brace of 4in metal dome full-range drivers individually powered by a pair of custom-configured 50-watt amplifiers, as well as two 25mm Gold metal dome tweeters. It also has a 28/56-bit dual precision DAC and Monitor Audio’s own DSP technology.

The i-deck 100 uses the same circuitry and sound processing, but is smaller, with a pair of 3in drivers and 30-watt amplifiers.
