KEF T Series home cinema speakers

KEF has revealed three new home cinema speaker systems in the shape of the T Series.

KEF T Series

The thin profile speakers are designed to be used with very slim flatscreen TVs while delivering audiophile quality sound.

The T Series uses technologies derived from the company’s ultra high-end Concept Blade speakers and promises two new innovations with a new ultra-low profile bass/midrange driver as well as a large, fully vented new tweeter.

The new drivers are encased in 35mm deep cabinets which KEF says will perform equally well whether mounted on a wall or on their dedicated stands thanks to an innovative crossover design.

The crossover elements are hidden inside the stands themselves to ensure that the sound is adjusted for optimum performance when the speakers are standing in free space.

The T105 is the first of three new systems on the way, and consists of four T101 satellites, a T101c centre channel and a slim profile T-2 250W clad D subwoofer. The T101s use a 25mm vented tweeter and a 10cm low frequency driver.

Next up will be the T205 and T305 systems, each of which use the larger T301 and T301c speakers. The T205 will feature one pair of T301 speakers at the front, and a pair of T101s at the back, while the T305 system consists of T205 speakers throughout.

The KEF T105 system goes on sale from 15 October for £1,200. It will be followed by the T205 and T305 systems, which will cost £1,500 and £1,700 respectively.
