KEF renews link with Prodrive

May 12, 2010 — Article

British speaker manufacturer KEF has renewed its status as a technical partner with leading motorsport and automotive technology group Prodrive. The agreement will continue for the rest of 2010 and gives KEF the right to use the Prodrive Official Partner logo in marketing and publicity materials.

KEF’s partnership arrangement with the group, which has operations in the UK, China and Australia, has seen Prodrive assisting KEF’s engineers with new carbon fibre speaker cabinet technology such as the Concept Blade speaker (pictured) demonstrated at this year’s Bristol Show. In reciprocation, KEF supplies Prodrive with audio components for use at the Prodrive UK facility.

KEF’s UK Managing Director, Steve Halsall, said: “All of us at KEF are thrilled to continue working alongside a company such as Prodrive. They suit our quality profile, particularly their involvement with the likes of Alfa Romeo, Subaru, Aston Martin, Porsche, and BMW. We have been working on some highly innovate loudspeaker concepts and see the link with Prodrive as an exciting way to extend awareness of our technology to the appropriate high-end consumer.”
