Hard disk home media manufacturer Imerge has announced a new graphical interface for its high-end MS5000 server.

The new GUI trickles down from the one created recently for the company’s flagship MediaServer MS1 and is delivered in Full HD 1080p resolution, displaying cover art (accessed via the internet) on Full HD-capable displays.

New features include a control interface for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, parental control, ‘Digital Safe’ data back-up for all digital data and advanced metadata editing, allowing all data tags and info such as track details, movie credits, plot synopses etc to be edited easily.

Charlie Mertz, Business Development Manager for Imerge, said: “The new interface brings the Imerge family of products into line, and the MS5000 update will delight customers all over the world. We always listen to our customers and respond to their needs, and the new GUI will greatly enhance the experience of all MS5000 users.”

All new MS5000 will have the new GUI pre-installed, while existing owners can receive it via downloadable update.
