Bryston are set to launch a new Power Amplifier the SST² (SST Squared) at this years Bristol Show.

The new SST² range of power amps replaces the SST range and offers new transformer and chassis designs. According to Bryston the new SST² range offers a ‘first and last watt’ concept which gives you best noise floor, drive capability and distortion.

The new SST² series maintain their ideal power curve from the first watt to the last watt, making it an ideal reference amplifier at all volume levels. Additional upgrades and modifications reinforce Bryston’s obsessions with reduction of distortion and bombproof reliability.

The list of enhancements includes:

• New transformer design
• New chassis design
• New balance input stage
• Reduction in circuit board count
• New improved output chokes
• New power supply board
• Improvements to the bridging mode circuitry
• A reduction to point to point wiring
• New push on/off power switch
