Cabasse launches custom installation loudspeaker solutions

February 16, 2012 — Article

French loudspeaker manufacturer Cabasse has launched a new range of in-ceiling and in-wall products.

Cabasse Archipel 17ICP

The company will launch 15 loudspeakers over the coming months featuring the company’s co-axial drive unit technology. Cabasse claims co-axial technology, which places the high-frequency tweeter in the middle of the bass/midrange driver, is ideally suited to in-ceiling speakers, because of its wide dispersion characteristics.

The first of the new products are the Archipel range consisting of five in-ceiling and in-wall speakers. The 13ICP and 17ICP models both feature a 24mm soft-dome pivoting tweeter and 13cm or 17cm P2C diaphragm midrange woofers respectively. Cabasse says the frequency ranges of 65Hz-21.5kHz (13ICP) and 48Hz-21.5kHz (17ICP) make them ideally suited for situations that require discrete full range solutions.

Joining the line-up of 17cm products is the 17ICPS single unit stereo speaker with its dual voice coil midrange woofer and twin 24mm soft-dome tweeters mounted on a rotating base.

Completing the line-up of the Archipel range are the 13ICD and 17ICD products, which share the physical dimensions of the 13ICP and 17ICP, but are fitted with the Kaladex semi-rigid dome tweeter and Duocell membrane midrange woofers.

All models in the Archipel range are supplied with magnetic fixing grilles in both round and square forms so you can install them in-ceiling or in-wall, and come in a paintable white finish so you can customise them to fit in with your decor.

The Cabasse hi-fi bookshelf loudspeakers, Antigua and Minorca have also both been given custom installation treatment and are now available as in-wall speakers.

The prices are as follows, including VAT:

Archipel 13ICP £200 pair
Archipel 17ICP £220 pair
Archipel 17ICPS £220 each
Archipel 13ICD £320 pair
Archipel 17ICD £360 pair
Antigua In-wall £380 pair
Minorca In-wall £650 pair
