KEF’s KHT1505 surround sound package has dropped its price by £100 to £500.

KEF says that the price drop has become possible because of the reduced cost of several key components.

The latest model in KEF’s Home Theatre Series, the KHT1505 includes five satellite speakers and an active subwoofer in a gloss black finish on the smaller speakers, and black ash veneer on the subwoofer.

The versatile satellite speakers can be wall-mounted either horizontally or vertically, while KEF also supplies the optional HTS1001.2 floorstands for mounting the 1505 satellites.

The satellite speakers use a 19mm tweeter with two 5cm bass drivers, while the subwoofer uses a 200-watt Class D amplifier and a 20cm front-firing driver.

The price drop is effective immediately.
