Meridian has updated its F80 CD/DAB/FM one-box music system with the new-look M80.

Sporting the same semicircular design as the F80, the new version comes bundled with the i80 iPod dock and is covered with a choice of three hand-tooled leather finishes: Obsidian Black, Chestnut and Ivory.

Interior technical features are much the same as the previous model, with CD/DVD player plus DAB/FM/AM radio sources, as well as alarm functions and a variety of digital and analogue inputs.

The mineral-doped, composite casing hosts a Meridian 2.1 DSP speaker system capable of projecting a sound that belies its modest size.

The i80, previously available as an optional accessory, both charges as well as plays all varieties of Apple’s music player, and it can be controlled via the main player’s LED display and remote control.

The Meridian M80 is available now for £1,500.
