Picasa picture app for Pure Sensia radio

July 29, 2010 — Article

Brit DAB specialist Pure has announced the latest downloadable app for its ground-breaking Sensia radio.

Google’s photo sharing and editing service Picasa will join Facebook, Twitter and a weather app, each of which can be accessed via the Sensia’s colour touch screen. Users will be able to view photos streamed from the Picasa website, though you’ll need to upload any of your own from your computer rather than the Sensia.

Pics can be shown as a rolling slideshow or you can search for specific pics from other users. The Sensia can also display pics in its inset window or across the full screen. Captions can be overlaid on the pics and the slideshow speed can be adjusted or paused.

Colin Crawford, PURE’s director of marketing, said: “Picasa is a great addition to Sensia as it really enhances the way photos can be shared and viewed at home with friends and family. An interactive entertainment hub, Sensia releases you from the shackles of your computer and fosters a more family friendly way of interacting with content.”

Picasa is available as a free download for the Pure Sensia now.
