Naim has released an iPhone and iPod Touch control app for its wireless-enabled UnitiSystem set-up, with the company claiming it’s the first wireless multi-room system from a high-end hi-fi manufacturer.

UnitiSystem comprises the UnitiServe hard disk player/server, plus the NaimUniti and UnitiQute all-in-one audio players, each of which can be controlled by the new app.

Naim also used the CEDIA Home Technology event at London’s ExCel this week to announce a forthcoming app for the iPad which will be able to control a networked home’s entertainment, lighting, heating and security systems. The app won’t however go on sale until it’s had some ‘fine-tuning’ from installers and potential clients to get it into the best possible shape before release.
