At first glance you could be forgiven into thinking that this is just another classic high quality projector unit from Avielo, but this one has a big sting in its tail.
It is the world’s first native 235 DLP projector, offering outstanding image quality from all sorts of media. Called the Optix 235 Super Wide it has a native resolution of 1080 x 2538 compared to a Blu-ray having 1080 x 1920.
With a typical Cinemascope movie being shrunk on Blu-ray to around 800 x 1920 pixels, on the Optix 235 you get to keep our 1080 height and gain another 600 or so pixels on the width expanding out to 2538. With such a wide image the picture is bright, crisp and sharp with a more involving 3D type effect to the picture.
You don’t need to worry about sliding another lens across your projector and losing light intensity as the Cinemascope lens is already fitted into the Optix 235 Super Wide.
Being shown non stop at the show, the customer feedback has been immense and for those of you with your chequebook out, the unit should be available at Christmas this year.
