AWE Europe had their 3rd annual Expo last week which was held over 2 days 22nd and the 23rd April.

The AWE Expo featured a number of exclusive UK first showings Including the new Philips 56PF 21:9 56 inch screen, and the new Philips Pronto TSU-9300, as well as training and the latest demonstration of whole house control in the AWE Solutions House. More details on AWE here

Also at the show we saw the new Cineversum BlackWing One projector. A state-of-the-art yet affordable projector, the BlackWing One integrates the latest technologies available on the market, has 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080) using the acclaimed 3-LCOS engine, and has HDMI 1.3 connections, all within a futuristic chassis designed by Antoine Béon in Paris.

AWE had a special treat for us with the new Philips 21.9 56PF19954 screen. The ‘Cinema 21:9 LCD TV’ is indeed the very first consumer orientated 21:9 ultra wide aspect ratio High Definition TV. Suggested retail price is £5000 and once you see the 56 inch size screen you will just have to have one!

Xantech were showcasing their latest additions the Digi-5 range, a ground breaking multi-zone multi-room audio system. With more power and higher quality than the older A-Bus based brands, this fully digital package is ideal for multi dwellings or for cost conscious installations. We also saw the MRC88M controller which is an 8 source, 8 zone multiroom controller with amplification and is the upgraded version of the tried-and-tested MRC88 which has been successfully used by installers for many years.
