The company claims its new digital signal processing technology gives a complete acoustic experience, filling the room with sound and removing any audio ‘blind spots’. It’s part of Lenco’s ‘Absolute 3D Sound Technology’, an advanced system based on wavefield synthesis. The spatial audio rendering technology promises a fully enhanced audio experience no matter where you are in the room.

The iPD-9000 offers a healthy 65W output, spread across two 10W side-firing drivers and a 45W rear-firing subwoofer, enabling it to escape the unit’s compact dimensions. The iPD-9000 works with the full range of iPods and iPhones which dock on the top of the machine and recharge at the same time. The remote controlled music hub also plays CDs, CD-R/RWs, and MP3-encoded discs.

There’s also an FM radio with a 20 preset memory and RDS, a blue back-lit LCD display, a digital volume control and an adjustable bass/treble control. A handy sleep timer feature allows you to drift off to sleep without worrying about leaving it switched on. Completing the package is a composite video output to connect your TV or monitor to watch movies or videos.

The iPD-9000 is available now for £230.
