The Eclipse TD508IIUD reference-class desktop speaker system is getting a special promo price reduction in the run-up to Xmas.

Eclipse TD508IIUD

The system will drop from £840 to £670 from now until March 2012.

The TD508IIUD includes two elliptically shaped speakers and a matching amplifier, designed for playback using a PC, Mac or MP3 player.

It’s a bigger version of the TD307PAII system, and boasts a larger scale presentation and better bass at lower volume levels, as well as more dynamic solid sound stage, according to Eclipse.

The single driver speakers are designed to be ultra fast, with no crossover to smear the sound and no DSP processing to affect phase and timing.

The simple and elegant structure of the matching amplifier means that it needs no tone controls or equalizers which might disturb its phase characteristics and comes in an anti-resonant cone design with heavy cast-alloy structure.

The promotion is part of Eclipse’s tenth birthday celebrations and the TD508IIUD is available now at the new price.
