The compact (18 x 15×10cm) system from the British firm comes in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB versions and can rip music in MP3, OGG, FLAC or WAV formats, straight to its built-in hard drive.

It has its own 60-watt amplification and is available with an optional pair of bookshelf speakers, or you can use your own. You can also use the free EyeconnTroller remote control app which you can download for iPhone/iPad or Android mobile phones.

It can connect to your network via wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi using its optional dongle and can stream music from your PF to wherever you’ve placed the X10.

Once connected to your network, it can access internet radio too, the colour LCD display making it easy to navigate between the thousands of stations available.

Connections include analogue and optical digital, as well as headphone outputs, 3.5mm auxiliary jack and a pair of USB inputs.

The Cocktail Audio X10 is available now with prices starting at £349 for the 500GB version.
