IFA 2011: Sony SMP-N200 network media player

Announced at IFA is the Sony SMP-N200, a network media player that allows you to stream HD and 3D content to your TV via Wi-Fi or USB.

The compact device also allows your TV to access the internet for streaming online video content from BBC iPlayer, LoveFilm and Demand 5 via Sony’s Bravia Internet Video. As well as video and TV content, it also offers over 10 million songs.

There’s also the ‘3D Experience’, Sony’s new free (so far) on-demand streaming service and you can browse the web or check your Facebook updates while controlling it using the new Sony Tablet, iPhone or Android device.
