Maxell has announced two new designer headphones with the Audio Wild and the Retro DJ.

The Audio Wild (£30) is a closed-back, over-ear type with full-size ear cushions and a rubberised finish. Maxell claims its “designed to be seen whilst the wearer roams through their very own Urban Jungle”.

It’s available in three styles – Ice Blue, Soundbars and Racers – and uses a 40mm driver for extended bass response. It also comes with a 1.2m cable and a 3.5mm-6.3mm jack adapter.

The Retro DJ (£50) aims to combine old school looks with modern technology and feature a steel frame with leatherette headband and ear-cushions.

It comes in either black or white and include a 38mm driver unit along with a 1.2m cable and 3.5mm/6.3mm plugs.
