Acer has announced the new H9500 projector with Full HD and native 16:9 aspect ratio.

Acer H9500

The H9500 promises better black levels with DynamicBlack technology that dynamically fine-tunes each scene to optimal black levels while maintaining the original brightness of images, achieving a 50,000:1 contrast ratio.

Image improving technologies include Acer’s TRUE MOTION and MEMC (Motion Estimation/Motion Compensation) to improve picture clarity in fast moving scenes and reduce motion blur, by creating and inserting new frames to enhance smoother motion.

The H9500 is also equipped with the True 24p feature, allowing it to display a 1080p resolution image in 24 frames per second.

There are two HDMI ports and the lamp can provide up to 2000 ANSI lumens, as well as promising up to 2,500 hours of life.

The lens can be shifted horizontally or vertically, so images can be projected in their original size without moving the projector. There is also a 15-degree Vertical Keystone Correction feature to fix any distortion and project perfect images.

Acer ColorBoost II+ uses an optimised six-segment colour wheel design, and ColorSafe II, DLP technology offers colour compensation technology on the optical components for longer-lasting picture integrity.

The Acer H9500 video-projector comes with five years warranty on the DLP chip; one year warranty on the lamp without hour limit and is available now for £1,700.
