Panasonic has announced that it is to run a 3D Cinema Roadshow in 43 UK cinema foyers to celebrate the opening of Pirates Of The Caribbean 4.

The roadshow has just begun and will run for 27 weeks. With Panasonic being one of the London 2012 Olympic sponsors, an Olympic Games themed Full HD 3D theatre will be installed in Vue, Odeon and Cineworld cinemas on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Viewers will be able to watch archived Olympic Games footage in 3D on the specially installed Panasonic 3D screens, and will have the opportunity to see themselves in 3D with an Olympic Games themed background, as if they were actually at the event themselves.

They’ll also have the chance to win tickets to London 2012 Olympic events, and to take up promotional offers in association with John Lewis, the Official Olympic Retailer for London 2012, and Panasonic Stores.

David Bonney, Sponsorship Manager at Panasonic UK said: “As Worldwide Olympic Partner, Panasonic is committed to bringing people closer to the action and our 3D Cinema Roadshow is a great opportunity for visitors to the cinema to experience how they can relive the 3D experience at home and get involved in the excitement of London 2012.”
