Boston Acoustics A series gets makeover

Boston Acoustics’ has announced that its A Series of loudspeakers will now be available in a white finish.

The makeover is in addition to the A series’ existing black and wood models.

Developed by Marantz Brand Ambassador and audio guru Ken Ishiwata, the Series A line-up includes two floorstanding speakers, the flagship three-way A 360 (£719.90), the two-way Model A 250 (£449.90); a brace of two-way bookshelf models, A 26 (£249.90) and A 25 (£199.90); and the A 225C 2-way centre-channel speaker (£189.90). Also included in the range is a compact 2-way satellite, the A 23 (£149.90), which can be used as a surround or bookshelf speaker.

All A Series models feature Boston’s 1in Kortec soft dome tweeter. Two powered subwoofers, the ported 300-watt ASW 650 (£459.90) with a front-firing 10in driver and the 100-watt ported ASW 250 (£279.90) with a downward-firing 10in driver complete the line-up.

The company also announced the addition of the A2310HTS 5.1 home cinema system to its range. This new model is however, only available in black… for now.

The package includes four A 23 satellite speakers, a new A 223C centre channel and the ASW 250 subwoofer. Due for release in June it’s expected to cost £600.
