February 24, 2011 — Article

British speaker manufacturer PMC will launch its new PB1i Signature at the Bristol Show this weekend.

PMC PB1i Signature

Following on from its other signature versions of the FB1i and TB2i models, the new PB1i will feature a new version of the original PB1i’s 24dB crossover designed to deliver “even finer detail and transparency” to the midband/vocal range from the 7.5cm soft-dome driver.

There’s a 27mm tweeter developed by PMC and SEAS as well as a 17cm bass driver developed specifically for the PB1i, with an ultra-stiff lightweight cone and large magnet assembly. The speaker will also have PMC’s Advanced Transmission Line bass loading.

Each PB1i Signature speaker will include a brushed aluminium serial number plate, and a signed certificate of authenticity from PMC’s founder/owner Peter Thomas.

Each is available in the rare Rose Palissandre veneer which is only available on Signature Series products, and comes with a 10-year warranty.
