Denon and Marantz have announced their new AirPlay upgrade for various products.

The downloadable upgrade makes it possible to stream music wirelessly from a PC, Mac, or iPad/iPhone/iPod using Apple’s iTunes collections to compatible hi-fi or AV components.

Apple’s streaming technology is now available on the Denon AVR-4311, AVR-3311 and AVR-A100 multichannel receivers, available for 49 Euros from www.denon-upgrade.eu. Denon’s new CEOL networked music system will receive the upgrade later this month.

Marantz meanwhile has put AirPlay on its Melody Media M-CR603 mini system as well as the NA7004 network audio player, the SR7005 AV receiver and AV7005 AV preamp. With both brands coming under the D&M Holdings umbrella it’s available for the same price as the Denon upgrade from http://airplay.marantz.eu/
