The cream of European and world hi-fi will be gathering on the shores of Lake Lugano in Switzerland later this month for the High End Symphony 2010 show.

View from the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola

The annual show takes place at the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola in the Italian-speaking town of Lugano and promises to play host to some of the biggest names in quality sound reproduction.

Seventeen especially reserved suites will be equipped with a variety of two-channel stereo programmes from Burmester, KEF, Mark Levinson, Tannoy, B&W, Pioneer, Denon, Primare, Heil Sound, Bose, Vincent, Thorens, Brinkman and others.

For its eleventh year the show celebrates the 25th anniversary of Musicdoor, Lugano, a specialized shop that since 1985 has offered the highest performances in sound reproduction in a comfortable and relaxed environment.

Visitors will be greeted with an aperitif and a live jazz band at 6pm on Friday 12th November before getting the chance to tour the aural delights on offer in the suites. The hotel can be reached from Lugano Airport (Agno) or Milan Malpensa Airport.

High End Symphony is open to the public from 12-14 November 2010. Admission is free. More info from www.hiendsymphony.com
