US manufacturer Kimber Kable has announced a new series of stereo interconnect cables for the UK with the Hero range.

Each of the cables use Kimber’s specialist woven geometry, but use four cores rather than three, which is designed to improve RFI cancellation, arranged in a GyroQuadratic geometry with dual Teflon insulation.

The standard Kimber Hero comes with VariStrand hyper-pure copper conductors and Kimber Ultraplate phono plugs, and is available for £130 for a 0.5m pair, or £168 for 1m.

A little further up the scale, the Kimber Hero HB (hybrid), uses a pair of hyper-pure copper conductors and another pair of silver, with the option of either WBT 0102-Cu plugs, or silver WBT 0102-Ag. With the Cu plugs, a 0.5m pair of Kimber Hero HB costs £479, and a 1m pair £723.

Top of the range is the Kimber Hero AG, a full silver version with four hyper-pure silver conductors. When fitted with the WBT 0102-Ag plugs, it costs £839 for 0.5m, and £1,322 for a 1m pair.
