Monitor Audio SoundFrame

Brit speaker manufacturer Monitor Audio has released a new range of wall-mounted speakers cunningly disguised as works of art.

Monitor Audio SoundFrame

The SoundFrame range is available in a variety of sizes, colours and grille designs with a wide choice of graphic and photographic designs available. Each of the three-way speakers is just 87mm deep and includes a pivoting midrange/treble driver assembly to control the direction of the sound.

SoundFrame 1 comes in classic ‘picture frame’ dimensions, while SoundFrame 2 is a more slender design which can be hung in either portrait or landscape style.

Both SoundFrame models use an inverted dual concentric driver, which includes a 25mm tweeter and a 10cm C-CAM ceramic-coated alloy midrange unit. This is backed by a 16.5cm RST cone bass unit, which has a ribbed surface for rigidity.

They come with a high-frequency attenuator switch which allows the treble to be increased or reduced by 3dB for room tuning.

The Monitor Audio SoundFrame speakers are available now in black or white for £450 each and there’s also a version which can be custom painted.
