Cable maker Monster has announced a pair of Miles Davis Tribute headphones.
The in-ear headphones are the first audio product to be endorsed by the biggest name in jazz, albeit 18 years after his death.
They have a gold and black finish designed to recall Davis’s iconic trumpet, and include a silhouette of Miles in classic playing pose as well as his signature on the earpiece.
The cable is, unsurprisingly, a ‘kind of blue’, and the headphones come with a special ‘instrument case’ holder and a copy of the 50th anniversary box set of his most famous album, Kind of Blue, including two CDs, a DVD and a 24-page booklet. Perhaps more pertinently, they also carry a lifetime replacement guarantee.
Monster boss Noel Lee sad: “Our goal with these Miles Davis Tribute headphones was to literally elevate the personal music listening experience with a product capable of reproducing the many subtle shadings and dynamics of all types of music, including the unmistakable Miles sound, with a style and design that is the ‘essence of cool’."
The Miles Davis Tribute headphones will be available at the end of next month for £230.
